How Long Does an HTMA Test Take? From Hair Sample to Results

When people order their first HTMA, one of the first questions is usually: How long will it take to get my results?

The honest answer is that results usually arrive a few weeks after the laboratory receives your hair sample. The exact timing can vary because postage and laboratory processing are outside my control.

What happens after you order?

1. You receive the sample instructions.

After ordering, you can download clear instructions for collecting your sample at home. No physical kit is sent.

2. You collect and send your hair sample.

Follow the instructions carefully, then post the sample to the laboratory. Postage is paid separately by the customer, so delivery time begins before the lab’s processing time.

3. The lab analyses your sample.

Your sample is analysed by Analytical Research Labs (ARL). The mineral levels and ratios come from the laboratory.

4. I prepare your interpretation.

Once the lab results are ready, I interpret the patterns and prepare your personal report and recommendations. Your Mineral Map also includes a consultation and one month of email support.

When should I start counting?

The estimate of a few weeks begins when the laboratory receives your sample—not when you place your order. Postal delivery and lab processing can vary, so I can’t promise an exact date.
